NOTE: Top Hat is only available for UMKC and Missouri S&T.

Attention isn’t a resource to be captured; it’s a fluctuating state to be intentionally designed for. In an age of constant distraction, how do we move beyond the myth of the "15-minute attention span" to transform passive lectures into dynamic learning experiences? This interactive session explores practical, learning-science-backed strategies to pique student curiosity and sustain focus across the entire learning journey. We will look at how to model engagement and create an inviting classroom climate that assists with long-term retention. Along the way, we will provide a brief overview of Top Hat, demonstrating how you can seamlessly bring these engagement strategies to life. Participants will walk away with actionable practices to foster connection and design learning experiences that resonate in an attention-scarce world.

Please note: This session will not be recorded. If you are unable to attend the session, please see our TopHat knowledgebase materials. As always, feel free to schedule a 1:1 consultation or contact us if you have any questions.
