Academic technology

To enable the delivery of a high-quality, accessible, digital education experience, Academic Technology manages learning and teaching software for the University of Missouri System through the administration of technology platforms Canvas, Panopto, Zoom and others. A team of academic technologists provide technology support via phone, chat and email during regular business hours to instructors, staff and students System-wide. After-hours chat and phone support is also available by a third-party provider. Over 440 knowledge base articles describing how to use supported technology in your online courses can be found in the customer support portal. The portal further offers options to submit a service request.

In addition to direct support with learning platforms, Academic Technology provides opportunities for professional development to System-wide instructors and staff through training sessions, bootcamps and workshops. Instructors can take advantage of software pilots to gain new skills and provide feedback on technology before it is adopted.
