Description
All UM system educators are invited to register for a hybrid session on Oct. 18 at noon at MU’s Teaching for Learning Center and via Zoom. Explore how and why to incorporate mid-semester feedback surveys into your courses. Surveys are valuable for in-person and online instructors to gain insights into what is working along with improvements that can be made before the semester ends. Surveys also show students that educators care about teaching.
Presenters are Dr. Bethany Stone (Curators' Distinguished Teaching Professor of Biological Sciences, MU) and Dr. Liz du Plessis (Manager of Instructional Design, Missouri Online). Dr. Stone will share a Canvas Survey she has used for mid-semester feedback, how students responded and how she used the feedback. Dr. du Plessis will demonstrate how to create anonymous surveys using Qualtrics, Google, non-graded quizzes in Canvas, and the Missouri Cares About Teaching (MoCAT) survey.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences.
To register, follow this link to the Teaching for Learning Center LibCal event calendar.
