Description
Come join David, Stephanie and Bryan on Tuesday, October 9th at 3:00pm EST as they discuss strategies used for engaging students in online math classes. Discover techniques and practical tips designed to captivate your students and elevate their learning experience.
The conversation will span:
Building an online community
Use of media and screen share
Q&A Boards
Instructor interactions with students
Design Concepts for Engagment
And we’ll have a way for participants to create a shared resource of their own ideas as well!
Most strategies will be applicable without requiring the use of Harmonize as it will be a mixture of pedagogy, creativity and sometimes the technology to support them.
Speakers:
Stephanie Phillips
Instructor – Coordinator of Basic and Intermediate Algebra
The University of Alabama at Birmingham
Bryan J Fede, Ph.D
