Description

PechaKucha (Japanese for "chit-chat") is a fast-paced presentation style featuring 20 slides displayed for 20 seconds each, totaling 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Originated in 2003 by Tokyo architects to curb long, boring presentations, it uses image-heavy slides to foster storytelling, creativity, and concise communication.

Please join us for three presentations by UM System instructors and see this engaging presentation style in action.

Using Pecha Kucha Presentations in the Classroom presented by Sarah Stanley, Associate Professor, Business Information. This presentation will be given in Pecha Kucha style (i.e. 20 slides; 20 seconds each) and will address the advantages Sarah has witnessed from using Pecha Kucha in her own classroom. She will also address the possible drawbacks or instances where this may not be the best choice for the classroom. Open discussion to follow.
